The following is a summary of West
Virginia's regulations as they pertain to the inflatable
industry along with links to the actual regulations. There may be city
or county regulations as well, check with your local government entity. State
contact information is listed at the bottom of the page. |
§21-10-4. Inspection and permit fees. |
(a) The annual permit fee is one
hundred dollars for each ride. The annual
inspection fee is one hundred dollars for each ride due at the time of application
for the annual permit
(e) the owner of the amusement rides shall
visibly display inspection stickers |
§21-10-6. Permits; application; annual inspection. |
No operator may permit the operation of an amusement ride without a permit.
Each year and at least fifteen days before the first time the amusement
ride is made available for public use, owner shall apply for a permit
The
state shall within ten days of the first time the ride or attraction
is made available for public use, inspect all amusement rides |
§21-10-7. Issuance of permit; certificate of inspection; availability to public. |
certificate of inspection shall be kept in the records of the owner for a
three-year period
A copy of the certificate, showing the last date of
inspection, shall be affixed to the amusement ride. |
§21-10-9. Notice of serious physical injury or fatality; investigations; records
available to public. |
An owner an amusement ride shall notify the state not later than twenty-four
hours after any fatality or accident that results in a serious physical injury
to any person requiring medical treatment or results in a loss of consciousness
to any person
record of each accident or fatality shall be kept with
the certificate of inspection |
§21-10-12. Insurance; bond. |
No person may operate an amusement ride there is in existence a policy of insurance
obtained from an authorized insurer in an amount of not less than three
hundred thousand dollars per person and one million dollars in the aggregate |
