The following is a summary of New York's regulations as they pertain to the inflatable industry along with links to the actual regulations. There may be city or county regulations as well, check with your local government entity. State contact information is listed at the bottom of the page.

S 870-d. Issuance of permit. (click on LAB-labor, Article 27)

No amusement device may be operated in the state without a permit issued by the state

S 870-e. Inspections. (click on LAB-labor, Article 27)

Before a permit may be issued an inspection of the amusement device shall be made in compliance with the procedures set by the state

S 870-f. Liability insurance. (click on LAB-labor, Article 27)

Before the state may issue a permit the owner must furnish proof that he has purchased insurance in an amount not less than one million dollars per occurrence or two million five hundred thousand dollars in the aggregate

S 870-g. Reports of injuries. (click on LAB-labor, Article 27)

1. The owner of any amusement device involved in an accident which results in an injury shall report such injury to the owner's insurer.
  2. The owner of any amusement device involved in an accident which results in a serious injury shall report such injury to the state prior to the close of business on the next business day.
