The following is a summary of Illinois's regulations as they pertain to the inflatable industry along with links to the actual regulations. There may be city or county regulations as well, check with your local government entity. State contact information is listed at the bottom of the page.
 

Sec. 2-10.  
No amusement ride or amusement attraction shall be operated  without a permit  issued on or before the first of May of each year, 

each amusement ride or amusement attraction shall be inspected before it is initially placed in operation and at least once each year.
   
Sec. 2-14.  
no person shall operate an amusement ride or attraction unless there is a liability insurance policy in an aggregate amount of not less than $100,000 for one person per accident, $1,000,000 for two or more persons per accident, and $50,000 for property of others per accident,
